The Tropical Data Science School (TDSS) is a one-week program designed by USM’s School of Computer Sciences and International Mobility and Collaboration Centre (IMCC) to provide students with a holistic balance of immersive learning and unforgettable cultural experiences.

For only 670 USD*, you’ll be given the opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals in a university ranked 143 in the QS World University Ranking 2023, all while exploring the rich culture of Malaysia through engaging lessons and outings with our friendly student buddies.

The program’s meticulously curated curriculum, taught by a team of experienced lecturers and industry trainers, will have you diving deep into topics like data visualization and storytelling, behavioural informatics, cybersecurity, statistical process control, computational linguistics, and blockchain. To hone critical thinking and problem-solving skills, you’ll also be challenged to apply your newfound knowledge to real-world case studies in personalized groups guided by our veteran data scientists.
