Protest in Madrid summer 2011 due to crisis
I was there during this protest with some friends from out of Spain, right there in the middle of Puerta de Sol. It was amazing to see hundreds of thousands of people. One guy even walked along Gran Via completely naked, with just a card saying "I have no money, to buy food or clothes" covering his private parts (which didn't help all that much with the covering).

Great speech: War should be criminilised
Tun Mahathir has always been my idol. His mental  strength, outspokenness, sincerity, creativity and many more qualities should be exemplars to the young and growing… Listen to his talk , though delayed, would open up your senses: There are four parts. Please click on the subsequent ones at the end of every tube.

Any of you guys who could speak or understand Spanish, could participate. This is your chance to be an emotion annotator! If you’re interested, please contact me (click on Contact Me) with your email addresses. Then I will send an email… with the instructions on how to access the videos and what to do. You are not needed to DOWNLOAD ANYTHING!

General Strike in Spain, 30th Sept 2010
Yesterday, it was quite a view for me, as usual. There were people shouting out slogans, waving flags, throwing out flyers…to protest against the Spanish government’s plans to cut civil service salaries by five per cent. We were at SOL and GRAN VIA, and there were just too many people. I was told that in Barcelona things went sour. You can see some pics here from Madrid.

What Not to Say When Pulled Over by a Cop (Market Watch)
"What's going to cause the situation to get worse is for the fear factor to rise in that officer," Koep said. "The officer is more likely to cut you a break as long as you can reduce that fear. …If you're friendly with me, not arguing or denying what happened, that lowers the fear factor and will make me a lot more cooperative with you."
