As the founder and Adviser of USMi, Dr. Syaheerah was with the USMi Exco for a celebratory dinner and ushering year 2020 with style.In attendance was the Vice Chancellor of USM, past director IMCC (Dr. Sam), past deputy director IMCC (Dr. Pitt) and current director IMCC (Haji Ramli). Also in attendance was En Aizat and Dr. Waqas the new Adviser of USMi. The VC told the USMi executive of various budget approval for USMi activities and his drive to integrate USMi into the main developmental activities of the University. International Student Sports Carnival 2019 At Multimedia University Cyberjaya
Victory is sweet most especially after hard work was the mood as Dr. Syaheerah guided International Students from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) to Multimedia University Cyberjaya for the 2019 edition of the International Students Sports Carnival. Three weeks prior it was open and careful selection of team players and participants for various categories for the sports carnival. TeamUSM, as the USM participants were dubbed, were pulled out from all the campuses; Main Campus, Engineering Campus, Advanced Medical and Dentist Campus and health Campus in Kelantan. ASEAN Australia Education Dialogue (AAED) 2019
The ASEAN Australia Education Dialogue (AAED) was held 18th – 20th Nov 2019 at the Royale Chulan Hotel,Georgetown,Penang,Malaysia. The theme for the Dialogue was: “Building Quality Assurance and Sustainability in International Education Partnerships”. The Dialogue connects key education and training stakeholders as well as business planners and thought leaders from Australia and ASEAN. It reflects the ASEAN-Australian commitment to a long term education partnership informed by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 2030. 3rd UCUC 2019 International Student Symposium
28th – 1st November 2019, USM hosted the 3rd UCUC 2019 International Student Symposium. The theme for this year’s symposium was “disruptive future”. I gave a talk titled “Disruptive Technologies on the verge of destructing future” at the 3rd UCUC Symposium in USM Penang. My talk focused on shaping the participants’ minds towards understanding the concept of Technological disruptions for future jobs and activities.
